The death has occurred of Aileen O’Shea Ballybeg Currow Killarney and Countess Road Killarney. Aileen passed away peacefully on September 6th 2025 surrounded by her loving family after a long illness borne with great strength and dignity in the wonderful care of the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of University Hospital Kerry . Sadly missed by her heartbroken parents Helen and Donie, her sister Máire , brother-in-law Kevin (O’Driscoll) niece Mary-Jane , nephews Michael, Patrick and Thomas , her grand-aunt Sr. Ellen , aunts, uncles, her many cousins and a wide circle of dear friends in Ireland and across the world. Aileen , a special person who will be sadly missed and forever fondly remembered by all of those privileged to have grown up, known and worked with her throughout her life . A special mention of thanks and sincere appreciation to the excellent staff of 2D Ward at Cork University Hospital .

Reposing at Tangney’s Funeral Home Church Street Castleisland on Monday evening from 5pm to 7pm . Removal from Ballybeg on Tuesday morning at 10/30am arriving to the Church of the Immaculate Conception Currow for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by Private Cremation at the Island Crematorium Cork . The Mass will be livestreamed on www.churchservices.tv/coticcurrow.
