Designing for oneself is a paradox. It’s both a dream and a test – of instinct, discipline, and emotion.

For Dublin-based interior designer Moya Farrell, the opportunity arrived in 2022, while she was pregnant with her second child. For 10 years, Moya and her husband Andrew Frazer had been living in a home owned by Andrew’s family, but they weren’t ‘tied’ to the area. In fact, they were open to living just about anywhere in Dublin. And then the perfect house came on the market just a few streets away.
