Two Women’s Premier Division teams are set to play European football in 2027 as a result of Athlone Town’s Champions League performances this year.

The Irish Independent understands that the number of European spots on offer for Women’s League of Ireland clubs is set to rise from one to two from the 2027/’28 Uefa season.
