Listowel Paddy Power store one of 28 to close as part of plans by parent company

Radio Kerry understands the Paddy Power store in Listowel is one of the outlets being closed by its parent company.

Flutter UKI has announced its intention to close 57 Paddy Power shops across the UK and Ireland following a review of the high-street estate.

Almost 250 staff across the UK and Ireland are at risk of redundancy as a result of the change.

In response to Radio Kerry, Flutter declined to comment, but one source said a store in Listowel is closing.

This would leave four Paddy Power outlets in the county.

It is not known how many jobs will be lost by the closure in Listowel.
