Kottackal: They say the face is the mirror of the mind. And now, a car can read it too!
A group of students at the Peace Public School here has designed a car capable of detecting a driver’s emotions, including stress, anger, energy and fatigue, from the face. The innovative vehicle became the star attraction during the Digital Fest organised at the school.
The project was developed by four Class 9 students Muas Sulfiquer, KT Hamdan, Bin Hamsa and KP Muhammad Hathim. The car operates through voice commands via a mobile phone and incorporates Artificial Intelligence to analyse human emotions.
In addition to emotion detection, the car integrates several advanced safety and convenience features, including an Auto Brake system, Human Detection Trigger, Lane Departure Warning, Collision Forecast, Accident Detection System and Cabin Air Quality Monitor. The vehicle can even take self-control measures when obstacles are detected at the front or rear.
The Digital Fest was inaugurated by Dr V K Muneer, IEDC Nodal Officer and Assistant Professor at Areekode SS College. School principal M Jouhar presided over the event.
