Anger, shock and dismay have been expressed by local business owners who have lost their outdoor seating or part of their outdoor seating which was installed in 2021 as part of Covid-19 measures implemented to allow businesses to open for a period between lockdowns.

Following the attempted demolition of Crew Brewing Co.’s parklet on the morning of Tuesday, October 14, a number of other local business owners have also revealed that their outdoor seating areas were removed without notice or consultation from Limerick City and County Council.
