Researchers with Breakthrough Listen and Columbia University have discovered a candidate millisecond pulsar in the Milky Way's center. If confirmed, it will allow unprecedented tests of Einstein's General Relativity. Pulsars are extraordinarily predictable, and are clock-like in their regularity. General Relativity says that signals from a pulsar near a supermassive black hole should be altered by the SMBH's mass, and this candidate offers a chance to test that.
