We might not have gotten a singular song of the summer, but this fall is all about letting loose, according to Demi Lovato<\/a>. Her new album, It\u2019s Not That Deep<\/a>, is out now, and Lovato shared how the thesis of the album is focused on not taking yourself so seriously and having fun. \u201cJust because it\u2019s fall, it doesn\u2019t mean we\u2019re not going out,\u201d Lovato explains on Las Culturistas<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m not taking myself too seriously as an artist anymore. I\u2019m just having fun, and I wanted a body of work that\u2019s really reflective of that.\u201d She also credits her return to pop to feeling good in her personal life, sharing that she originally set out to write another record like Holy Fvck. \u201cAs I started writing the rock album, I was like, I can\u2019t, really, like I\u2019m running out of things to write about because I\u2019m so happy right now,\u201d Lovato laughed.
