Loose Women<\/a> star Carol McGiffin<\/a> has given fans a glimpse into her marriage. The broadcaster shared snaps of her husband, Mark Cassidy, 43, as she celebrated her toyboy. While Carol, 65, usually keeps her marriage relatively private,<\/a> she shared her \u2018favourite photos\u2019 of them over the past year. One snap included them drinking white wine in Saint Tropez, while another poked fun at Mark’s sleeping position.<\/p>\n

Carol sweetly wrote in the caption: \u201cI don\u2019t normally gush about my other half on here, in fact, I don\u2019t think I ever have. But today I\u2019m going to because we\u2019ve been apart for a while, and tonight we will be reunited (hence the cheeze on toast music choice)! So, with that in mind, here are some of my favourite photos of him\/us from this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cNote: No AI or filter or any other fakery was used on picture 7!!! All done with hard work and a bit of discipline!!!\u201d She also surprised her followers with a topless snap of Mark as she wrote: \u201cYep. That\u2019s my husband!\u201d.<\/p>\n

The couple met back in 2008 at the Loose Women<\/a> wrap party when Mark was 26 and Carol was 48. 10 years later, they decided to marry in secret in Bangkok, Thailand.<\/p>\n

Addressing her relationship, Carol previously shared that while their 22-year age gap can “bother” her at times, they remain happily married and have proved the haters wrong.<\/p>\n

She told Woman’s Own Magazine: “Initially, the papers were saying, ‘Give it five minutes’ so it\u2019s nice to be able to prove everybody wrong. But it\u2019s not about that, it has nothing to do with anybody else. We\u2019re still here.”<\/p>\n

Other followers took the opportunity to express how much they missed seeing Carol as a regular face on Loose Women after she left the iconic panel in 2023.<\/p>\n

She first appeared on the show from 2000 until her first departure in 2013, and then again from 2018 until 2023. Since leaving, Carol hasn\u2019t held back in her criticism of ITV<\/a> \u2019s daytime lineup, branding shows like Loose Women, This Morning<\/a>, and Good Morning Britain<\/a> as \u201crubbish\u201d and out of touch with audiences.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Dan Wootton<\/a> \u2019s Outspoken podcast in the summer, the former Loose Women regular slammed ITV for reportedly trying to win back viewers by bringing in influencers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey can stand there and say, \u2018The reason that we’re suffering is because of online TV, people don’t watch TV anymore, they go online for news or entertainment or anything, or streaming services,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cMaybe it\u2019s just because it\u2019s rubbish and they just aren\u2019t very good at it anymore. They don\u2019t consider that.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also criticised ITV\u2019s assumption that influencers would attract younger viewers: \u201cA lot of young people never watch television\u2026 The fact that ITV thinks, \u2018If we get all these young influencers on, everyone\u2019s going to start watching daytime TV,\u2019 is just ridiculous.\u201d<\/p>\n
