Interpol<\/a> and Bloc Party<\/a> appear to be teasing a joint UK tour.<\/p>\n

Both bands have taken to Instragram to share a snippet of their music from the mid-noughties and a message that \u201csomething special is coming\u201d this Friday (October 31) at 9am GMT.<\/p>\n

They have also shared similar graphics on their pages too and the fact that GMT is mentioned suggests it could well be a tour.<\/p>\n

Fans have expressed their excitement in the comments section with one writing: \u201cBLOC PARTY COHEADLINE TOUR???!???,\u201d while another added: \u201cBloc party posted the same thing??\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cINTERPOL COHEADLINE TOUR \ud83d\ude4f\ud83d\ude4f\ud83d\ude4f\ud83d\ude4fOH WE ARE SO BACK,\u201d one user also added.<\/p>\n

Interpol and Bloc Party previously toured the UK in 2004 and embarked on a tour of Australia.<\/p>\n

Interestingly the snippets of music on their Instagram pages are also from records they released from the mid-noughties with Interpol sharing \u2018Slow Hands\u2019 from their 2004 album \u2018Antics\u2019 and Bloc Party sharing \u2018Banquet\u2019 from their 2005 debut LP \u2018Silent Alarm\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Interpol\u2019s last album was 2022\u2019s \u2018The Other Side Of Make-Believe\u2019<\/a> but they have been working on a new record, which is likely to drop in 2026.<\/p>\n

Speaking to NME in July guitarist Daniel Kessler<\/a> said: \u201cWe\u2019ve still got a little bit of work to do, but it\u2019s really getting there. We\u2019re all really excited about the results and the feel of it. It will be coming out next year.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cIt\u2019s the first album we recorded in New York in 10 years, and it has a very winter-time New York feel to it. The studio had an open floor, we could see the skyline, and it had this Gotham kind of setting for us. It\u2019s got a sense of that, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year, they also toured \u2018Antics\u2019 for the album\u2019s 20th anniversary. Reflecting on the record Kessler recalled how the band were \u201cactually very mindful of not having any sort of pressure\u201d while they were making the album<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cTouring \u2018Bright Lights\u2019 was so full-on, but every time we had two weeks or a weekend at home we went right to our rehearsal space in Brooklyn and just started working on new songs. When we finally finished touring, we already had a good portion of the songs that ended up being on \u2018Antics\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bloc Party meanwhile also last released an album in 2022 \u2013 \u2018Alpha Games\u2019<\/a> and they are currently working on a new record, which they are also hoping to release in 2026.<\/p>\n

Frontman Kele Okereke<\/a> recently told <\/a>NME<\/a>: \u201cWe are working on the next Bloc Party record with a super-producer called Trevor Horn. He\u2019s made some of my favourite records of all time, so it\u2019s quite interesting to hear what he has to say. He\u2019s been making records for most of his life, for over 50 years, so he seems to know all the tricks. He seems to know everyone as well and have a story about everyone.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a record about heartbreak, really \u2013 that\u2019s the only thing I can say about it at this stage. Hopefully it will be out next year, but we\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n

His band also toured \u2018Silent Alarm\u2019 as part of 20th anniversary celebration earlier this year.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cI feel like whenever I listen to any of our records from the past, I would hear things I didn\u2019t like about them and things I\u2019d like to change. We did a big homecoming show in London last year<\/a>\u00a0to commemorate 25 years. Something kind of switched.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore, I was always seeing things in the records that I didn\u2019t like, and now I\u2019m slightly at peace with the whole thing. We\u2019ve done something great and it\u2019s been recognised throughout the world, and I\u2019m at peace with that.
