{"id":107014,"date":"2025-10-27T18:03:08","date_gmt":"2025-10-27T18:03:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/107014\/"},"modified":"2025-10-27T18:03:08","modified_gmt":"2025-10-27T18:03:08","slug":"nbc-news-addresses-low-trust-in-media-with-marketing-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/107014\/","title":{"rendered":"NBC News Addresses Low Trust In Media With Marketing Campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/nbc-news\/\" id=\"auto-tag_nbc-news\" data-tag=\"nbc-news\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NBC News<\/a> unveiled a new marketing campaign on Monday that attempts to address low trust in news media, promoting the network as a place for \u201cfacts\u201d \u201cclarity\u201d and \u201ccalm.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tA <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OsUqvHpsuvc\" target=\"_blank\">60-second spot<\/a> opens voices from ordinary Americans expressing frustration with the news environment, including one who says, \u201cI turned off news altogether,\u201d and another who says, \u201cIt\u2019s all bull-s\u2013.\u201d As one voice says, \u201cI\u2019m looking for some facts first,\u201d the images of NBC personalities appear, including Craig Melvin, Savannah Guthrie, Richard Engel, Kristen Welker and <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/tom-llamas\/\" id=\"auto-tag_tom-llamas\" data-tag=\"tom-llamas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Llamas<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cIf we got clear facts, maybe we can calm down a little,\u201d one voice says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe spot ends with the slogan \u201cFacts. Clarity. Calm\u201d and \u201cReporting for America.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/cesar-conde\/\" id=\"auto-tag_cesar-conde\" data-tag=\"cesar-conde\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cesar Conde<\/a>, chairman of NBCUniversal News Group, wrote in a memo to employees, \u201cOver the past few months, we\u2019ve been listening closely to Americans, and what we\u2019ve heard is clear. People are not disinterested in news. Rather, they are hungry for civil discourse and trustworthy reporting that can empower them to make up their own minds. Exactly what NBC News stands for.\u202f\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe TV spots will air nationally, during NFL games and on connected TV and streaming platforms. Print and digital will include a homepage \u201ctakeover\u201d of The New York Times, The New Yorker, Apple News, Yahoo and Vanity Fair. There also will be billboards in Times Square and other major markets, and radio and social media buys.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe campaign is the first significant marketing effort in years.
