Sister Wives<\/a> patriarch Kody Brown<\/a> once preached that \u201clove should be multiplied, not divided.\u201d But when it comes to his daughter, he wants to make sure she\u2019s not doing any multiplication of her own. At least not until her future husband puts a ring on it.<\/p>\n

On the October 26 episode, Kody and Robyn Brown\u2019s<\/a> oldest daughter Aurora brought home her new boyfriend. Of course, Kody began preaching to the unsuspecting suitor that it was his job to \u201cprotect\u201d Aurora, both physically and emotionally. Even though Kody has admitted to being \u201cMormon naughty<\/a>\u201d in his single days, he wants none of that for his daughter.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, poor Brodie didn\u2019t have a clue as to what Kody was referring. That coded message sailed right over his head, as the young rancher told her dad about giving Aurora a pocket knife for protection.<\/p>\n

Kody Brown believes in \u201cchastity\u201d before marriage<\/p>\n

As an example, Kody pointed to his own marriage. \u201cWhen I\u2019m protecting [Robyn] from myself,\u201d Kody told Brodie, \u201cI\u2019m trying to protect her from being hurt by me.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

While her new boyfriend may not have had a clue what her dad was talking about, Aurora eventually caught the gist. \u201cAfter awhile, it\u2019s clear that my dad\u2019s talking about chastity,\u201d Aurora explained. \u201cAnd I can tell Brodie\u2019s very much thinking about tactics: \u2018I know how to use knives. I\u2019m trained in mixed martial arts. She\u2019s good, sir.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Kody thinks he\u2019s driving his message home. \u201cI don\u2019t want my kids fooling around,\u201d he admitted in a confessional. \u201cWhen you\u2019re just dating, you\u2019re kissing another man\u2019s wife until she\u2019s your wife. And if she doesn\u2019t become your wife, you\u2019re kissing another man\u2019s wife.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, when Kody was dating Robyn<\/a>, he still had three other wives at home with whom he could be \u201caffectionate.\u201d Supposedly, all three of them had their first kiss<\/a> with Kody at their respective weddings.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe in chastity,\u201d he continued. \u201cDon\u2019t take something \u2026 that doesn\u2019t belong to you.\u201d<\/p>\n

To Brodie\u2019s credit, he hung in there throughout Kody\u2019s embarrassing lecture. In the end, Kody decided he was trustworthy after all.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wears cowboy boots,\u201d he concluded. \u201cHe rides horses; he listens to country western music; he even plays guitar \u2026 Can I trust my daughter with a cowboy? Well, I think I can trust my daughter with\u00a0this\u00a0cowboy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sister Wives<\/a>\u00a0airs Sundays at 10\/9c on TLC.<\/p>\n
