\n\tFor years, Carey has ushered in the holiday season by singing, \u201cIt\u2019s time,\u201d in her signature whistle register. Tuesday\u2019s clips played on that history, with the person behind the camera catching Carey at various points throughout her day, with the expectation of hearing that Christmastime jingle. After yelling \u201cI said not yet\u201d and \u201cIt\u2019s not time yet,\u201d Carey closed the video by simply crooning \u201cnot yet\u201d while getting her glam done.<\/p>\n

\n\tHours before Carey shared own clip, buzzy girl group KATSEYE<\/a> mounted an elaborate tribute to Carey\u2019s videography with their new Bowen Yang-assisted \u201cGabriela\u201d music video<\/a>. Spoofing a viral interaction with Billboard\u2018s Kyle Denis on the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet<\/a> (Sept. 7), the six-piece collective made good on their inability to name \u201ca favorite Mariah Carey\u201d music video by dressing up in some of her most iconic video looks, including ones from \u201cHoney,\u201d \u201cWe Belong to Together,\u201d and, of course, \u201cAll I Want for Christmas Is You.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAt September\u2019s VMAs, Carey received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, marking her first honor at the awards show. Ariana Grande<\/a>, who won video of the year for her Eternal Sunshine: Brighter Days Ahead short film, presented Carey the award after she delivered a knockout medley of her hits like \u201cWe Belong Together\u201d and newer cuts like \u201cSugar Sweet.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCarey\u2019s splashy VMAs night arrived just a few weeks before the release of Here for It All, her sixteenth studio album. Featuring \u201cSugar Sweet\u201d and the Hot 100<\/a>-charting lead single \u201cType Dangerous\u201d (No. 95), the LP hit No. 7 on the Billboard 200<\/a> and No. 1 on Top Album Sales.<\/p>\n
