All six episodes will be available to stream via the PBS app and PBS Masterpiece on Prime Video and a weekly broadcast on PBS will air Sundays at 9\/8c.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAn adaptation of John Galsworthy\u2019s\u00a0Forsyte Saga\u00a0novels, the drama offers a sweeping portrait of a wealthy British family in 1880s London. It\u2019s led by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/francesca-annis\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Francesca Annis<\/a>\u00a0(Lillie), who plays matriarch Ann.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tPer the official logline: \u201cDesire, ambition and betrayal simmer at the heart of the\u00a0The Forsytes\u00a0which chronicles the lives, loves, trials and triumphs of a wealthy Victorian era stockbroking family, whose generations find themselves torn between tradition and self-sacrifice versus personal happiness and the pursuit of love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe cast includes Stephen Moyer (True Blood) as Jolyon Forsyte Sr., Jack Davenport (The Morning Show) as James Forsyte, Danny Griffin (Fate: The Winx Saga) as Jo Forsyte Jr., Millie Gibson (Doctor Who) as Irene Heron, Tuppence Middleton (Downton Abbey: A New Era) as Frances Forsyte, Eleanor Tomlinson (One Day) as Louisa Byrne, Joshua Orpin (Titans) as Soames Forsyte and Josette Simon OBE (Anatomy of a Scandal) as Mrs. Ellen Parker Barrington.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tDebbie Horsfield (Poldark) penned the adaptation. Executive producers are Debbie Horsfield, Meenu Gaur, Michael Ray, and Damien Timmer for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/mammoth-screen\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mammoth Screen<\/a>, part of ITV Studios; and Susanne Simpson for Masterpiece.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Forsytes\u00a0is produced in association with ITV Studios, which handles international distribution, with PBS Distribution handling North American rights.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe series premiered October 20 on UK\u2019s Channel 5.
