\n\tEbon Moss-Bachrach<\/a> (\u201cThe Bear,\u201d \u201cThe Fantastic Four: First Steps\u201d) and Caitriona Balfe<\/a> (\u201cBelfast,\u201d \u201cFord v Ferrari,\u201d \u201cOutlander\u201d) have joined the cast of Andrew Haigh<\/a>\u2019s \u201cA Long Winter,\u201d which also stars Fred Hechinger (\u201cThelma,\u201d \u201cGladiator II\u201d), Kit Connor (\u201cWarfare,\u201d \u201cRocketman\u201d) and D\u2019Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai (\u201cWarfare,\u201d \u201cReservation Dogs\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tFurther casting includes Manuel Garcia Rulfo (\u201cJurassic World: Rebirth\u201d) and David Furr (\u201cThe Gilded Age\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film is produced by Tristan Goligher for The Bureau, Chad Oakes and Mike Frislev for Calgary-based Nomadic Pictures, and Michael Elliott.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film was developed by Mubi and is co-financed by Mubi and Film4. Farhana Bhula, director of Film4, and Max Park, development and production executive, are overseeing the project for Film4.<\/p>\n

\n\tMubi retains rights in the U.S., U.K., Ireland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Benelux, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey and India. The Match Factory is handling worldwide sales.<\/p>\n

\n\tPrincipal photography is underway in Alberta, Canada on the film, which is based on Haigh\u2019s adaptation of Colm T\u00f3ib\u00edn\u2019s short story of the same name.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film is set in the mountains as fall comes to an end and a family prepares for the long winter ahead.<\/p>\n

\n\tFurther creatives involved include cinematographer Andre Turpin (\u201cMommy,\u201d \u201cIncendies\u201d), production designer Emmanuel Frechette (\u201cWayward,\u201d \u201cThe North Water\u201d) and editor Jonathan Alberts (\u201cAll of Us Strangers,\u201d \u201c45 Years\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tHaigh\u2019s \u201cAll of Us Strangers\u201d (Searchlight Pictures and Film4) received six BAFTA nominations, including best director and best adapted screenplay for Haigh. It was also the recipient of four Gotham and three Independent Spirit Awards nominations.
