\n\tDreamWorks Animation has assembled a buzzy voice cast for \u201cForgotten Island<\/a>,\u201d an animated adventure that\u2019s set to release in 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tLea Salonga, Dave Franco, Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, H.E.R. and Liza Soberano (\u201cLisa Frankenstein\u201d) are among the stars who will lend their voices to the film. <\/p>\n

\n\tPlot details were previously hazy but the newly revealed logline asks an emotional question: \u201cWhat if your lifelong best friend just forgot all about you? Forgot all the love, the joy, the pain, all of the memories and experiences you once shared.\u201d The story revolves around two best friends who find themselves stranded on the fantastical world of Nakali and find that their only way off the mystical \u201cforgotten island\u201d might come at the expense of a lifetime of memories. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cForgotten Island\u201d will be written and directed by Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado, and produced by Mark Swift. This marks the third collaboration between Crawford and Swift, who worked on \u201cPuss in Boots: The Last Wish\u201d and \u201cThe Croods: A New Age.\u201d It\u2019s the directorial debut for Mercado, who also contributed to \u201cPuss in Boots: The Last Wish\u201d and \u201cThe Croods: A New Age.\u201d Nathan Matthew David (\u201cJoy Ride,\u201d \u201cThe Brothers Sun\u201d) will provide the score for \u201cForgotten Island.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal will debut the film theatrically on Sept. 25, 2026. DreamWorks Animation\u2019s recent slate has included last year\u2019s sleeper hit \u201cThe Wild Robot\u201d and this year\u2019s box office draws, \u201cThe Bad Guys 2\u201d and a \u201cHow to Train Your Dragon\u201d remake.
