A Donegal woman has admitted providing false or misleading information when applying for a passport.<\/p>\n
Bridget McDonagh pleaded guilty to the offence at Letterkenny Circuit Court.<\/p>\n
She was charged that on a date unknown, prior to and including August 23, 2023, at an unknown location, she did provide information or documents that were false and misleading in a material respect when applying for an issue of a passport.<\/p>\n
The charge is contrary to section 20 (1) (a) of the Passport Act 2009 as amended.<\/p>\n
McDonagh was formally arraigned before Judge John Aylmer. The 50-year-old, of Coill An Airgid, Donegal Road, Ballybofey, spoke only to plead guilty.<\/p>\n
The accused was represented by Mr Patrick O\u2019Sullivan, instructed by solicitor Mr Rory O\u2019Brien.<\/p>\n
The case was adjourned until November 11.<\/p>\n
Previously, when remanded on continuing bail, the District Court imposed a condition that she surrender her passport, not apply for a new or duplicate passport, not leave the island of Ireland and provide a phone number to Gardai on which she must be contactable 24\/7.<\/p>\n
