<\/p>\nAn Afghan national has been charged with murder and attempted murder after a triple stabbing in west London.<\/p>\n
Safi Dawood, 22, has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in relation to the incident in Uxbridge on Monday, the Crown Prosecution Service said.<\/p>\n
He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Police and paramedics were called to a stabbing in Midhurst Gardens, Uxbridge, at around 5pm.<\/p>\n
Wayne Broadhurst, 49, was treated for stab wounds at the scene but died at the scene of his injuries, the Metropolitan Police<\/a> said in a statement.<\/p>\n Another man, aged 45, suffered life-changing injuries and was treated in hospital.<\/p>\n A 14-year-old boy was also hurt in the stabbing, but has since been discharged from hospital.<\/p>\n Police said his injuries were neither life-threatening nor life-changing.<\/p>\n Dawood entered the UK in a lorry in 2020 before claiming asylum, which was granted in 2022, the Home Office said previously.<\/p>\n He was not known to Mr Broadhurst, but was known to the other two alleged victims, police said.<\/p>\n Image: Image: Dawood, of Midhurst Gardens, needed hospital treatment after “suffering a medical episode” and was later returned to police custody, where he remains, the force added.<\/p>\n A ‘devastating loss’<\/p>\n The managing director of Greener Ealing Ltd, which provides environmental services to Ealing Council, said Mr Broadhurst was a “dedicated member of our team”.<\/p>\n Katarina Pohancenikova said in the statement: “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Wayne’s family, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time.<\/p>\n “This is a devastating loss.
