Manchester United are reportedly interested in making a move for Levante striker Karl Etta Eyong.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils heavily invested in a new attack over the summer with Benjamin Sesko brought in to replace the outgoing Rasmus Hojlund.<\/p>\n

Alongside Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, Ruben Amorim now has an entirely new front line at Manchester United.<\/p>\n

But with Joshua Zirkzee linked with an exit<\/a>, a new striker could soon arrive at Old Trafford and Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo<\/a> are reporting that Karl Etta Eyong is on United\u2019s transfer radar.<\/p>\n

Etta Eyong is hot property on the European market with interest also from Manchester City, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Barcelona. There is a \u20ac30m (\u00a326m)\u00a0release clause for La Liga clubs and \u20ac40m (\u00a335m) for Premier League teams.<\/p>\n

United missed out on signing Erling Haaland<\/a> despite being recommended to do so by former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.<\/p>\n

The lethal Norwegian is now at United\u2019s arch-rivals Manchester City. Ineos must learn from past mistakes and keep an eye out for future stars, and Etta Eyong falls into that category.<\/p>\n

According to FBref<\/a>, Etta Eyong\u2019s most comparable player is Haaland because of their shared attributes.<\/p>\n

When compared to other strikers in Europe, Etta Eyong ranks in the top five per cent for non-penalty goals per 90 minutes and assists per 90 minutes.<\/p>\n

His defensive work should not be overlooked either, with Etta Eyong in the top two per cent of strikers for successful tackles per 90 minutes.<\/p>\n

United are learning to press high in Amorim\u2019s 3-4-2-1 system<\/a>, and Etta Eyong has the right traits to fit right into the system.<\/p>\n

Karl Etta Eyong\u2019s record this season<\/p>\n

Levante have only won two of their opening 10 matches in La Liga this season, but that hasn\u2019t stopped Etta Eyong from finding the back of the net regularly.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old forward has scored six goals and registered three assists in just 802 minutes of football this season.<\/p>\n

His first goal of the season was during his time at Villarreal, before he made a summer switch to Levante.<\/p>\n

In the La Liga top scorer list, Etta Eyong\u2019s six goals ranks him second, only beaten by Real Madrid\u2019s Kylian Mbappe.<\/p>\n

As pointed out by The Mirror<\/a>, Etta Eyong cannot represent a third club this season having already represented Villarreal and Levante, so a January move is off the cards for United. <\/p>\n
