\n\tSales agency Sola Media<\/a> has closed the first distribution deals on CGI animated feature \u201cMonster Mia,\u201d which has a production budget of \u20ac9 million ($10.4 million), as it prepares for next month\u2019s American Film Market in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film has already attracted buyers in several territories, including Poland (New Horizons), Greece (Tanweer), Bulgaria (Pro Films), Mongolia (Filmbridge) and the former Yugoslavia (Karantanija Cinemas).<\/p>\n

\n\tIn Germany, Plaion Pictures is planning a theatrical release for the Halloween season in October 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tSet in the seemingly perfect town of Primrose, \u201cMonster Mia\u201d follows the story of Mia and her scruffy pet rat Quentin. After being expelled from school, Mia is sent to the mysterious Rotwood Academy \u2014 a place that immediately gives her the creeps as she\u2019s the only human among a class full of monsters.<\/p>\n

\n\tWith the principal Van Vlad hosting a deep dislike for humans, Mia must join forces with her monstrous classmates to stop his plans \u2014 before it\u2019s too late.<\/p>\n

\n\tProduction is led by Austria-based animation studio Arx Anima in collaboration with Germany\u2019s Arx Anima MD and Peng! Boom! Tschak! \u2013 Films and Spain\u2019s Arxlight Pictures. Arx Anima\u2019s recent credits include co-producing the animated feature \u201cRabbit Academy,\u201d \u201cThe Super Elfkins\u201d and the hit series \u201cTalking Tom and Friends\u201d (Seasons 1\u20133), which has amassed over 17.5 billion views across platforms.<\/p>\n

\n\tM.A.R.K. 13, the animation studio behind Peng! Boom! Tschak! \u2013 Films, brings two decades of industry expertise to the project and is known for its work on \u201cVic the Viking and the Magic Sword\u201d and \u201cMaya the Bee.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSpanish producer Nicol\u00e1s Matji of Arxlight Pictures adds further weight to the team, having produced the \u201cTadeo\u201d franchise and \u201cCapture the Flag.\u201d<\/p>\n
