Its forests, mountains and historic estates have made it a recurring choice for both international and independent horror productions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Horror movies filmed in Wicklow include Without Name, The Other Lamb, The Lodgers and The Ghost, each making use of the county\u2019s remote landscapes and period properties.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Only Dublin ranks ahead, appearing as the primary filming location in 24 of the movies analysed. Productions such as The Hole in the Ground and Citadel have used the capital\u2019s suburbs, green belts and older districts to frame supernatural and psychological storylines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Cork and Galway follow with eight films each.
