{"id":116227,"date":"2025-11-01T15:58:14","date_gmt":"2025-11-01T15:58:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/116227\/"},"modified":"2025-11-01T15:58:14","modified_gmt":"2025-11-01T15:58:14","slug":"a-vision-for-growth-by-2047-ethealthworld","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/116227\/","title":{"rendered":"A Vision for Growth by 2047, ETHealthworld"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                                        <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"590\" height=\"442\" class=\"unveil\" loading=\"eager\" style=\"width:100%;max-height:100%\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/124978707.cms.jpeg\" captionrendered=\"1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Kochi: The Indian <a id=\"30049432\" type=\"Denny\" weightage=\"100\" keywordseo=\"Ayurveda-economy\" source=\"keywords\" class=\"news-keywords\" href=\"https:\/\/health.economictimes.indiatimes.com\/tag\/ayurveda+economy\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ayurveda economy<\/a> is currently valued at USD 43 billion, Ayush Ministry SecretaryVaidya Rajesh Kotecha said here on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>He was speaking at the Kerala Health Tourism and Global Ayurveda Summit and Expo 2025, organised by the <a id=\"27803938\" type=\"Denny\" weightage=\"20\" keywordseo=\"Confederation-of-Indian-Industry\" source=\"keywords\" class=\"news-keywords\" href=\"https:\/\/health.economictimes.indiatimes.com\/tag\/confederation+of+indian+industry\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Confederation of Indian Industry<\/a> (CII).<\/p>\n<p>Kotecha said Ayurveda and traditional healthcare systems are on the cusp of a major transformation and are projected to contribute five per cent to India&#8217;s GDP by 2047, up from the current 1.1 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>He also said investment proposals worth USD 1.2 billion are already in the pipeline, a press release said.<\/p>\n<p>Kotecha praised Kerala&#8217;s pioneering role in Ayurveda, describing it as a model for other states.<\/p>\n<p>Union Minister of State for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, addressing the event online, lauded Kerala for its excellence in Ayurveda care and treatment infrastructure, the release said.<\/p>\n<p>Kerala Industries Minister P Rajeev outlined the state government&#8217;s initiatives to position Kerala as a premier global healthcare destination.<\/p>\n<p>He highlighted ongoing efforts to integrate Ayurveda with modern medicine and promote the state as a holistic wellness hub, the release said.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the inaugural session, CII Global Ayurveda Summit chairman Dr Sajikumar said Kerala&#8217;s Ayurveda economy is projected to reach Rs 60,000 crore by 2031 from the current Rs 15,000 crore.<\/p>\n<p>As per the release, he said that the sector is expected to continue its growth momentum and touch Rs 5 lakh crore by 2047, aligning with the Viksit Bharat vision.<\/p>\n<p>CII Southern Region chairman Thomas John Muthoot said South India has some of the most robust healthcare facilities in the country and highlighted Kerala&#8217;s unique strengths in both wellness and modern healthcare.<\/p>\n<p>CII Kerala chairman VKC Razak underscored the key role of healthcare and wellness in the state&#8217;s economy, calling the sector &#8220;one of its most resilient pillars,&#8221; the release added.\n                                                                    <\/p>\n<p>                                    Published On Oct 31, 2025 at 07:01 AM IST<\/p>\n<p>\n                Join the community of 2M+ industry professionals.<br \/>\n                Subscribe to Newsletter to get latest insights &amp; analysis in your inbox.\n            <\/p>\n<p>                    All about ETHealthworld industry right on your smartphone!
