{"id":116468,"date":"2025-11-01T19:26:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-01T19:26:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/116468\/"},"modified":"2025-11-01T19:26:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-01T19:26:07","slug":"new-cork-city-centre-pub-pays-homage-to-citys-colourful-past","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/116468\/","title":{"rendered":"New Cork city centre pub pays homage to city\u2019s colourful past"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">A new pub named \u00d3 S\u00failleabh\u00e1in&#8217;s has opened on Washington Street in Cork, placing an emphasis on the city&#8217;s colourful past.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Located on a site where many pubs have operated for over 100 years, most recently Preachers, \u00d3 S\u00failleabh\u00e1in\u2019s is a homage to all things Cork.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The bar management spent a number of months sourcing old Cork images and memorabilia from around the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Manager of \u00d3 S\u00failleabh\u00e1in&#8217;s Bar Kaja Tomczak said there is a mood of excitement in the air for what lies ahead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cWe wanted to create a cozy pub where people could once again dive in from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax with great drinks, chats and cozy vibes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"> \u201cWe also sourced a lot of Murphy&#8217;s and Beamish memorabilia from as far away at the USA and France.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cWe even have a small library, featuring books of images, stories and poetry from Cork.
