A man in his 30s has died in a road crash in Co Galway in the early hours of this morning.<\/p>\n
He is the fourth person to be killed on Irish roads this weekend.<\/p>\n
The man, who was travelling alone, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred on the L2107 at Lavally in Tuam at around 4.30am.<\/p>\n
His body was removed to University Hospital Galway, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.<\/p>\n
No other vehicles were involved.<\/p>\n
The road has been closed for a technical examination and diversions are in place.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are appealing to any witnesses, particularly any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the L2107 between 4am and 6am to contact Tuam Garda Station on 093 70840, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.<\/p>\n
Three pedestrians were also killed in separate incidents over the weekend.<\/p>\n
