OpenAI<\/a> has on last Thursday launched the Sora app to Thailand, making it one of the first countries in Asia to access its next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) video creation experience. <\/p>\n

The firm said in a statement that as part of the launch, the Sora app will also be made available in Vietnam and Taiwan. <\/p>\n

\u201cThailand is home to one of the region\u2019s most vibrant creative communities, and we are excited to support the next wave of Thai-made storytelling,\u201d the firm said. <\/p>\n

It is noted that since launching in the United States and Canada in early September, the Sora app has seen incredible momentum and adoption, surpassing one million downloads in under five days. <\/p>\n

\u201cCreators have already produced a variety of imaginative and original videos, and now we\u2019re excited to see what Thai creators, artists and everyday storytellers will bring to life,\u201d OpenAI said. <\/p>\n

Powered by Sora 2, OpenAI\u2019s advanced video generation model allows users to generate compelling, hyper realistic videos; remix creations from others and share new interpretations; discover new clips in a customizable Sora feed; step into any scene through Cameos after a short one-time video-and-audio recording in the app to verify their identities and capture their likenesses.<\/p>\n

The Sora app supports local language, including Thai, enabling people to create videos that reflect local culture, humor and style. <\/p>\n

Along with the app launch, OpenAI is also rolling out Character Cameos within the Sora app. <\/p>\n

Thus, users can make cameos of characters from their life and imagination \u2013 a pet, a doodle, an object, or an original persona dreamt up in Sora. <\/p>\n

These characters can be tagged and reused in future video generations.<\/p>\n
