Liz McClarnon and her husband, Peter Cho, have welcomed their first baby, a boy<\/p>\n

\u201cIt started out a bit scary but all went well in the end,\u201d the musician wrote of her son’s birth on her Instagram Stories on Nov. 2<\/p>\n

McClarnon has previously been candid about experiencing three failed embryo transfers through IVF in 2022 and two miscarriages in 2024<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Nov. 2, the Atomic Kitten star, 44, shared on her Instagram Stories<\/a> that she and husband Peter Cho welcomed their first baby, a boy, after a years-long journey with in vitro fertilization (IVF).<\/p>\n

\u201cLittle man arrived early,\u201d McClarnon wrote over a photo of herself giving the camera a thumbs-up from a hospital bed. \u201cIt started out a bit scary but all went well in the end.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just a week before the couple, who tied the knot in 2023, welcomed their son, McClarnon shared a photo<\/a> of herself cradling her bump next to a throwback snapshot of her pregnant mom with the caption, \u201cI got a message the other day saying \u2018I feel like you\u2019ve been pregnant for forever!\u2019 \ud83d\ude02 So do I! So. Do. I. \ud83d\ude02.”<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cMy tummy is huge now isn\u2019t it?! And don\u2019t you think I\u2019m the spitting image of my mum when she was pregnant with my little brother. \ud83e\udd70.\u201d<\/p>\n

The musician announced that she and Cho were expecting their first baby<\/a> with an emotional Instagram<\/a> video on May 13. “I started to record a video of me just telling you but I got too emotional so I thought I\u2019d just hide behind this little announcement instead,” McClarnon captioned the post.<\/p>\n

“I just can\u2019t believe we\u2019re here. \u2764\ufe0f So many have been through exactly what I went through and worse,\u201d she continued. \u201cI want to share what I can and add my voice and ears to those who already help others understand or deal with all that comes with ivf and loss after so much hope.”<\/p>\n

Soon after, McClarnon opened up about her emotional pregnancy journey after experiencing three failed embryo transfers through IVF in 2022 and two miscarriages in 2024.<\/p>\n

“I said I was ‘done’ after the last one, and Peter was absolutely on board with that. He didn\u2019t say anything other than, ‘This is your body and I\u2019ll support whatever you decide you want,’ which was a huge thing for me,” she told The Mirror<\/a> in June. “I felt so bad emotionally, it was really tough.”<\/p>\n

However, spending the winter holidays with her family changed McClarnon’s perspective on continuing the IVF process and, as she put it, \u201chelped me heal.\u201d<\/p>\n

“The whole process made me truly appreciate that having a baby is a miracle,” she added. “There are so, so many things that need to happen correctly for someone to get pregnant, and for that to result in a healthy baby.”<\/p>\n
