{"id":119526,"date":"2025-11-03T15:12:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-03T15:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/119526\/"},"modified":"2025-11-03T15:12:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-03T15:12:09","slug":"turkish-firm-launches-its-2nd-satellite-into-space","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/119526\/","title":{"rendered":"Turkish firm launches its 2nd satellite into space"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Turkish private space company, Fergani Space, founded by Baykar\u2019s Sel\u00e7uk Bayraktar, launched its second fully domestic satellite, FGN-100-D2, into space, it announced on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;FGN-100-D2, the second satellite fully developed with national resources by Fergani Space and also T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s largest private-sector satellite, has successfully embarked on its journey into space,&#8221; the company said.<\/p>\n<p>The satellite was sent from the Cape Canaveral SLC-40 Base at 08:09 T\u00fcrkiye time on Nov. 2, 2025, it also said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Thus, the second step of Fergani Space\u2019s &#8216;Positioning Constellation Satellite Project&#8217; was successfully completed,&#8221; it added.<\/p>\n<p>Weighing 104 kilograms, the satellite FGN-100-d2 was carried into space within the scope of SpaceX\u2019s Bandwagon-4 mission. Approximately 74 minutes after launch, at 09:23, it separated from the launch vehicle and successfully reached its target orbit. (IHA Photo)\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none';\" style=\"max-width: 100%;width: 100%;height: auto;object-fit: cover;\"\/><br \/>\n                            <\/a><\/p>\n<p>The launch process was monitored moment by moment by Fergani Space CEO Sel\u00e7uk Bayraktar and his team from the Space Observation and Control Center located at the \u00d6zdemir Bayraktar National Technology Center.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement following the launch, Bayraktar said: &#8220;Our second satellite, FGN-100-D2, developed by our Fergani Space venture, has successfully reached space. This satellite is a 100-kilogram-class test satellite for the Ulu\u011f Bey Global Positioning System that we will build.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Founded in 2022, Fergani Space continues its journey with 135 teammates. We develop our satellites entirely with our own resources. We expect the satellite\u2019s mission duration to be between 5 and 7 years.
