A 28-year-old man who’s body was discovered in Portavogie, County Down, on Monday has been named as Jordan Webb. <\/p>\n
Police say they attended an address in the New Harbour Road area on Monday at 07:45 GMT and Mr Webb was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Det Insp Hollie McCartan, from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Major Investigation Team, said: “Sadly, Mr Jordan Webb was pronounced dead at the scene. My thoughts are with Jordan’s family and loved ones at this most difficult time.”<\/p>\n
A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. <\/p>\n
She added police officers are still in the area and cordons are in place.<\/p>\n
Det Insp McCartan said the PSNI attended the scene along with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, where the man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n
“My thoughts are with the young man’s family and loved ones, who are left trying to come to terms with their unimaginable loss.”<\/p>\n
Councillor for Ards Peninsula, Pete Wray described the news as shocking and sad on social media. <\/p>\n
