Robert Pattinson<\/a> is taking not being a picky eater to a whole new level.<\/p>\n

A month after his Die, My Love\u00a0costar Jennifer Lawrence<\/a> revealed she fed Pattinson food that had been thrown out<\/a> in the trash, the 39-year-old confirmed he had no qualms about the unique form of recycling a meal.<\/p>\n

“I thought it was delicious,” Pattinson told Entertainment Tonight<\/a> when asked about the story on the red carpet of the New York City premiere of their film at AMC Lincoln Square Theater. “She must have a really nice trash haul.”<\/p>\n

The winning review could be credited to the fact that the trash meal had been freshly tossed out. When Lawrence recalled the wild incident during her appearance on The Graham Norton Show\u00a0in October, she explained that Pattinson had reached out while she had girlfriends over watching Little Women.<\/p>\n

The Oscar winner said Pattinson had a request upon arriving. “He comes in, and I give him a hug, and he’s like, ‘You have any food? I’m so hungry,'” she recalled. “And I’m like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, come in, come in!'”<\/p>\n

Despite her confident reply, Lawrence admitted that she had been panicking because she had already thrown out food she could have offered. “And so while he was in the bathroom, I was just, like, pulling food out of my garbage can.”<\/p>\n

Her friends looked horrified, she acknowledged, but Pattinson was none the wiser. “He eats it and we’re all just kinda watching him eat this trash,” she said. “And then when he was finished, he was like, ‘I’m still hungry \u2014 is there more?'”<\/p>\n

Lawrence didn’t keep Pattinson in the dark about where the food came from, and instead of being put off, The Batman<\/a> star was surprisingly nonchalant.<\/p>\n

“He was like, ‘Oh, I don’t mind,'” Lawrence revealed. “And he just pulled it out of the trash and just kept eating it.”<\/p>\n

Fans can only assume his easy-breezy acceptance of the news stems from a deep trust between the costars. As Lawrence shared with Norton and her fellow guests, Pattinson reminds her of her six-month-old daughter, calling to a protective instinct.<\/p>\n

“He’s a great father, he’s a professional, he shows up on time, but I wouldn’t trust that he, like, put a coat on. He brings out a very maternal [side in me],” she admitted.<\/p>\n

The Silver Linings Playbook\u00a0actress is also mother to son Cy, 3, both of whom she shares with husband Cooke Maroney. Pattinson has one child, a daughter, 19 months, whom he welcomed with fianc\u00e9e, Suki Waterhouse.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Pattinson also spoke fondly about how much he enjoyed working with Lawrence on Entertainment Tonight. “I’ve always been a massive fan of hers. I didn’t really realize that it would be as easy as it was … to be friendly and also how easy it is to work with her,” he shared. “She’s so good, so egoless … kind of amazing, she’s just such a natural actress.”<\/p>\n

Die, My Love\u00a0stars Lawrence and Pattinson as a couple whose marriage unravels amid mounting psychological distress. Directed by Lynne Ramsay (We Need to Talk About Kevin,\u00a0Ratcatcher), the film enjoyed a positive reception when it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May. It hits theaters Nov. 7.<\/p>\n
