It may be a dream day for Debbie Webster<\/a> (Sue Devaney<\/a>) as she prepares to marry Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan)<\/a> this Christmas, but her own Coronation Street<\/a> family could de-rail the ceremony entirely as the warring continues.<\/p>\n

Kevin<\/a> (Michael le Vell<\/a>) recently split from wife Abi<\/a> (Sally Carman<\/a>) after she had been having an affair with his brother Carl<\/a> (Jonathan Howard<\/a>).<\/p>\n

However, the plot thickens like treacle. <\/p>\n

Because Carl is also cheating on Abi with James<\/a> (Jason Callender<\/a>) \u2013 who, yep, happens to be related to groom Ronnie!<\/p>\n

So can we expect this day of glitz and glamour to be reduced to exploding secrets and angry confrontations? <\/p>\n

It remains to be seen, but the tone is set in these filming pictures, which show cast members filming tense scenes. <\/p>\n

As Carl heads to help Tyrone Dobbs<\/a> (Alan Halsall<\/a>) out of the car, a clearly fuming Kevin intervenes and takes over from him, helping his mate to his feet while Carl and Abi look on incredulously. <\/p>\n

It certainly doesn\u2019t bode well for a harmonious wedding dinner does it? <\/p>\n

Earlier, pictures revealed Debbie on the way to her wedding<\/a> in the most unique of ways, grinning in her wonderfully Debbie-esque dress while being helped by Bernie Winter<\/a> (Jane Hazlegrove<\/a>).<\/p>\n

And the filming has continued this November, as the cast congregate, smile and laugh together through takes. <\/p>\n

Spotted among attendees are Sally Metcalfe<\/a> (Sally Dynevor<\/a>), Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) and vicar Billy Mayhew, suggesting that the reported death story for departing Daniel Brocklebank<\/a> has yet to be filmed.<\/p>\n

While the wedding hangs on whether Debbie\u2019s family can get along, boss Kate Brooks<\/a> did promise plenty of joy for the beloved character, assuring Metro that she wouldn\u2019t be defined by her dementia diagnosis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018We\u2019re not galloping our way through the story at all. We love Debbie!\u2019 the producer smiled. <\/p>\n

\u2018Debbie is brilliant and she\u2019s so funny, and she\u2019s so full of life and joy. There are so many stories that are happening around Debbie that are not dependent on whether she\u2019s got dementia or not.<\/p>\n

\u2018For Debbie, she\u2019s enjoying life. She\u2019s living life. She\u2019s making the most of it. She\u2019s obviously planning for a big wedding with Ronnie, which happens towards the end of the year.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s going to be a really gorgeous, joyful wedding. It\u2019s very Debbie in its execution. It smacks of Debbie being lovable and a bit out there.<\/p>\n

\u2018Also, we\u2019ll get to see the dementia choir, the debut of the dementia choir that Debbie\u2019s been so invested and involved in. <\/p>\n

\u2018She\u2019s focusing on that because she wants to enjoy the time she has here. She wants to enjoy her love for Ronnie. She\u2019s desperate for her family to get back on an even keel, for her brothers to be united again.<\/p>\n

\u2018She navigating all this as well as still running a successful business. This story is really in its infancy.\u2019<\/p>\n

She added: \u2018And yes, there are some times when she will forget things but she\u2019s living with it. You know, she\u2019s still got a life. She\u2019s not just a person who has dementia. She\u2019s not defined by it at all. <\/p>\n

\u2018Her stories are not defined by it either, for a really long time. So we are just enjoying Debbie being Debbie.<\/p>\n

\u2018The other thing we have as well, which I think is so important to Coronation Street, is Debbie has this real strong group of female friends. We really start to develop and invest in that friendship.<\/p>\n

\u2018Glenda, Sally, Bernie, Christina, Debbie \u2013 this gang of women who are navigating life at the same time. They\u2019re doing it with such humour and such loyalty to each other. Watching those friendships develop, there\u2019s a lot of fun stuff coming up.\u2019<\/p>\n
