With the help of a swordsman named Ramirez (Crowe), the titular Highlander battles other immortals across the centuries, until, as the line in the original 1986 movie exclaimed, \u201cThere can be only one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\tBautista is playing The Kurgen, the movie\u2019s top villain, while Gillan is MacLeod\u2019s Scottish and very mortal wife. Hounsou is an immortal warrior from Africa, while Abela is MacLeod\u2019s modern romantic interest.\u00a0Irons is the story\u2019s other antagonist, the leader of a secret order called The Watchers, who keep an eye on the immortals and see them as a threat to humanity.<\/p>\n
\n\tCullen is playing a police psychiatrist who discovers the existence of immortals and wants to help MacLeod.<\/p>\n
\n\tJong\u2019s character is part of the Watcher sect, while Lyes is an immortal pursuing MacLoed. It is not immediately clear who McKidd is playing.<\/p>\n

A former national kick-boxing champion in France, Lyes made his English-language debut alongside Sacha Baron Cohen in Gideon Raff\u2019s limited-series\u00a0The Spy.\u00a0Lyes is repped by WME, Artist International Group and Ad\u00e9quat in France.<\/p>\n
\n\tScotsman McKidd is best known for his\u00a0long-running role as Dr. Owen Hunt on ABC\u2019s hit medical drama\u00a0Grey\u2019s Anatomy\u00a0(over 370 episodes served!).
