Like a comet pulled from orbit, Ariana Grande was not able to fly to S\u00e3o Paulo for the world premiere of Wicked: For Good on November 4, and she is apparently very, very scared of the fan response<\/a>. In an Instagram Story addressed to \u201cBrazil,\u201d Glinda herself explained that there was a \u201csafety issue\u201d on her plane delaying her flight, so she couldn\u2019t make it in time.<\/p>\n \u201cMy team and Universal have tried every single thing possible to fix this. We\u2019ve searched every other flight, overnight, early morning, connecting flights, commercial and also private options and absolutely nothing was available or possible that would get us there in time,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI am so heartbroken that I\u2019m unable to be there with you all. We sincerely tried everything we could and I apologize from the bottom of my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n She had to update her Story later today with another message<\/a>, this one more of a plea. It began with the terrified words \u201cPlease don\u2019t wish danger on us.\u201d In this new message, she reiterates her disappointment and her love of Brazil and says a second time, \u201cPlease, please do not wish danger on us or assume that we didn\u2019t try.\u201d I also must emphasize that no one, from anywhere, should \u201cwish danger\u201d on anyone! No danger-wishing! Stop it!<\/p>\n Grande also used her IG Story to explain why she had to cut her flight so close to the premiere, saying, \u201cI wrapped another film on the 31st and I worked all day the 1st and the 2nd as well, just the same as Jonny, Cyn and Jon have been working.\u201d Based on a wrap post she made on October 31, the film<\/a> Grande\u2019s referring to making is Focker In-Law<\/a>, which filmed in New York.<\/p>\n The Brazil Wicked: For Good screening kicks off a global rollout<\/a> for the sequel that will be followed by regional premieres in Paris, London, Singapore, and New York with \u201cSexiest Man Alive<\/a>\u201d \u201cJonny\u201d (Bailey), \u201cCyn\u201d (-thia Erivo), and Jon M. Chu all scheduled to appear along with Grande.
