For once, all the critics agree! When it comes to the new Ryan Murphy<\/a> legal drama All\u2019s Fair \u2014 starring Kim Kardashian<\/a>, Naomi Watts<\/a>, Glenn Close<\/a>, Niecy Nash-Betts, Sarah Paulson and Teyana Taylor \u2014 the verdict is in: guilty of being \u201cempty,\u201d \u201cstiff,\u201d and \u201cterrible.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Hulu<\/a> series follows three lawyers \u2014 Allura Grant (Kardashian), Liberty Ronson (Watts), and Emerald Greene (Nash-Betts) \u2014 who strike out on their own to help women in need of a tough divorce lawyer.<\/p>\n

The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>\u2019s Angie Han calls the show \u201cempty” and “unforgivably dull,\u201d writing, \u201cReally, the show is here to serve fierce looks, bitchy one-liners and big juicy moments, with severely mixed results.\u201d Han adds that while the high fashion is undeniable, \u201cthe series completely fails when it comes to minting memorable quotes, because when the dialogue isn\u2019t so bland it borders on inane (\u2018I failed. I hate failing,\u2019 Allura pouts), it\u2019s so extravagantly profane as to be exhausting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Over at The Guardian<\/a>, Lucy Mangan declares that not even acclaimed actress Glenn Close can save what she dubs the \u201cRyan Murphy disaster,\u201d writing, \u201cI did not know it was still possible to make television this bad.\u201d She goes on to describe it as, \u201cfascinatingly, incomprehensibly, existentially terrible.\u201d<\/p>\n

The show, created by Murphy along with Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken, is executive produced by Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner.<\/p>\n

The Times\u2019 <\/a>Ben Dowell doesn\u2019t hold back either, calling it \u201cthe worst TV drama ever\u201d and giving it zero out of five stars. \u201cAll\u2019s Fair (Disney+) is so bad, it\u2019s not even enjoyably so,\u201d he writes. \u201cIt thinks it\u2019s a feminist fable about spirited lawyers getting their own back on cruel rich men but is in fact a tacky and revolting monument to the same greed, vanity and avarice it supposedly targets. All scripted, it feels, by a toddler who couldn\u2019t write \u2018bum\u2019 on a wall.\u201d<\/p>\n

And just to drive the point home, The Telegraph\u2019s Ed Power<\/a> simply brands the show \u201ca crime against television.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"For once, all the critics agree!
