Where Rodgers<\/a> wants and prioritises control, O\u2019Neill is known to delegate training and coaching to his assistants, focusing on the big decisions and man-management.<\/p>\n O\u2019Neill is also notably not a fan of xG,<\/a> sharing the same disdain for it that most football fans have. Sometimes you can have too much information when you cross the white line, you really can. You can have motorbikes going off in your head.<\/p>\n \u201cSimplicity, in my opinion, is genius. And I know Martin will say that, and he\u2019ll probably go back to his Brian Clough days, and what he was told when he was going onto the pitch. And his managerial style was like that as well.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not saying that Brendan was overcomplicating it, I\u2019m just saying that Martin will be a voice, he\u2019s a leader and he\u2019s obviously brilliant at motivating people as well.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd again, simplicity, sometimes, is genius.\u201d<\/p>\n Could Martin O\u2019Neill stay at Celtic long-term?<\/p>\n Dermot Desmond\u2019s scathing attack on Rodgers<\/a> made it clear that he had run out of patience with the former Hoops manager.<\/p>\n In O\u2019Neill, he has somebody who will have been grateful for the opportunity \u2013 but Martin too is known for telling like it is, so this could change if he gets the role long-term.<\/p>\n The availability of main targets such as Kieran McKenna<\/a> and Craig Bellamy<\/a> will also be a factor, with neither manager currently looking a likely option at the minute.<\/p>\n![\"Martin](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/GettyImages-2244638188-1024x683.jpg\")
