PEOPLE can exclusively reveal the cover of the author\u2019s third book in her Spunes series, Lost and Found<\/a>.\u00a0The novel is out next summer from St. Martin’s Griffin.\n<\/p>\n The romance novel meets Bea on her journey with motherhood after losing her best friend. She ends up staying with her longtime friend Silas during that difficult time, although he is battling a few challenges of his own after experiencing an accident while on duty as a firefighter.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n “At first, they expect nothing. But as these two former sunshines knit together in a love that has been unfulfilled till now, a new beginning comes out of the ashes of the past. One that will lead to a love that can withstand all the slings and arrows, joys and triumphs, that life can throw,” reads the synopsis.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n ‘Lost and Found’ by Tarah Dewitt.<\/p>\n St. Martin’s Griffin<\/p>\n DeWitt exclusively tells PEOPLE in a statement that the new installment “is about the inextricable link between grief and love.”\n<\/p>\n “It’s my love letter to friendship, to the families we find and make and to Spunes by and large,” she says. “Silas and Bea are two former sunshines who have been put through the ringer, who get stronger every time they feel safe to show each other their soft spots.”\n<\/p>\n “I hope people feel inspired watching them hold their heavy things while moving forward with hope, humor and joy. To date, it’s the work I’m most proud of,” the author adds.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n Lost and Found exists in the same universe as 2024\u2019s Savor It<\/a> and 2025\u2019s Left of Forever<\/a>.
