Agentic commerce company firmly.ai<\/a> has launched a partnership with affiliate marketing provider CJ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The collaboration will offer CJ\u2019s network of publishers and merchants turnkey access to \u201cseamless shopping experiences\u201d for consumers and thus open \u201cnew revenue streams, real\u2011time attribution, and frictionless checkout across every emerging channel,\u201d the companies said in a news release provided to PYMNTS Wednesday (Sept. 10).<\/p>\n

\u201cAs publisher referral traffic continues to decline and consumers increasingly transact within new channels, publishers, affiliates and merchants face the same challenges of engaging and converting consumers,\u201d the release added.<\/p>\n

The companies said their integration solves this via a native checkout solution for CJ\u2019s merchant partners that lets them convert consumers at \u201cthe moment of inspiration\u201d with no technical implementation required.<\/p>\n

That means publishers now have access to a \u201cscalable native checkout solution\u201d that keeps the consumer on their platforms to increase engagement and better understand what their audience is buying at a customer level.<\/p>\n

\u201cAffiliate marketing is no longer just about the click\u2014it\u2019s becoming the backbone of a new era in commerce media,\u201d said Santi Pierini<\/a>, CEO of CJ. \u201cOur partnership with firmly.ai helps to accelerate CJ\u2019s transformation from a leading affiliate network into a true commerce media network, enabling publishers and advertisers to monetize and transact wherever their audiences are\u2014inside editorial content, on social platforms, through AI chatbots, in email, digital ads and even shoppable CTV experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n

The partnership follows firmly\u2019s collaboration earlier this year with Perplexity.ai<\/a>, designed to let the artificial intelligence (AI) company\u2019s users browse and buy products<\/a> without leaving the platform, \u201cpreserving consumer attention while streamlining the journey from inquiry to checkout,\u201d as PYMNTS wrote in March.<\/p>\n

More recently, PYMNTS spoke with firmly co-founders Scott Hendrickson<\/a> and Kumar Senthil<\/a> about the rise of agentic AI in eCommerce.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat consumers really want is for commerce to happen immediately<\/a>,\u201d Hendrickson, who is also firmly\u2019s chief revenue officer, said in an interview with PYMNTS CEO Karen Webster<\/a>. \u201cPeople\u2019s time has never been more valuable, and they expect things to be frictionless.\u201d<\/p>\n

He and Senthil argued that the move from search to suggestion to settlement is eCommerce\u2019s logical next step in eCommerce, given that social media feeds already steer users to one-click purchases of impulse items.<\/p>\n
