Film Festival. The Guardian called it \u201ca beautiful, gripping, thought-provoking film.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cPoint of Change\u201d tells the true story of the discovery of the perfect surfing point break in Lagundi Bay on Nias Island, Indonesia, and the dramatic events that unfolded for the people and the place \u2013 a tale of what happens after you unearth paradise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cPoint of Change\u201d is the story of an island community dramatically changed forever, chronicling the first surfers to \u201cdiscover\u201d this point and the \u201cperfect wave\u201d in the early 1970s on the then remote Nias Island, and the unintended dramatic consequences that followed: devastating social and ecological repercussions for the people, and the place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe film offers a blend of first-person testimony, previously unseen Super 8 archive, contemporary interviews and animation, with an original score composed by Academy Award-winning composer Stephen Warbeck and featuring exclusive new music tracks by Paul Oakenfold and local musicians.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe film has already been sold to Madman Films\/Garage in Australia, which will be releasing the film theatrically early next year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe film is produced by Enriched Media Group and Nias Film Limited, alongside Red Squirrel Studios. It is produced by Philip Burgin, Martin McCabe and Mick Southworth, and co-produced with Eddy in Paris.
