The event provided a platform for Irish tourism businesses to connect with operators from established and emerging markets, including China, India, the Middle East, England, mainland Europe, and North America.<\/p>\n<p>Alice Mansergh, Chief Executive of Tourism Ireland, highlighted the importance of the event in driving international visibility for the destination.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur presence at World Travel Market was extremely important to kick-start our promotional drive overseas for 2026,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were delighted to have around 75 tourism companies from across the island of Ireland, including The Grace Westport Estate, joining us at this year\u2019s WTM.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayonews.ie\/news\/home\/1935918\/extra-flights-added-to-popular-mayo-airport-knock-route-this-winter.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/READ_MORE_button_(3)-1762443374046.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;World Travel Market presents a unique opportunity for the travel industry to meet, network, negotiate and contract business for 2026 and beyond. We are targeting visitors who do more, see more, enjoy more \u2013 and therefore spend more \u2013 during their time in Ireland, to help tourism businesses across our island thrive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The event comes as Ireland experiences growth in tourism infrastructure and connectivity, with a 12% increase in air capacity to the island this winter.
