A gut-punching new story for EastEnders’ Lauren Branning is set to air later this month, according to official teasers. The plot coincides with the BBC’s Scam Safe week, which will deliver a week’s worth of special programming to help the public stay informed when it comes to fraud.<\/p>\n

Lauren’s plot will shine a light on how scammers play into people\u2019s emotions surrounding their loved ones<\/a>, and convince them to part with their money.<\/p>\n

In scenes set to air in the week commencing 24 November, Jacqueline Jossa’s character will think she has found an incredible treatment plan for her son Jimmy.<\/p>\n

Fans of the BBC soap will know that she recently noticed something was wrong with his eyes, but initially struggled to be taken seriously.<\/p>\n

Lauren and husband Peter Beale were then told that the tot has optic nerve and chorioretinal coloboma<\/a>, meaning he has severely impaired eyesight.<\/p>\n

The Kimfluencer slips up, with consequences for Elaine, Anthony looks to the future, and the truth dawns on a horrified local.<\/p>\n
