{"id":131911,"date":"2025-11-10T09:40:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-10T09:40:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/131911\/"},"modified":"2025-11-10T09:40:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-10T09:40:07","slug":"three-counties-three-all-ireland-titles-tipperary-school-celebrates-unique-sporting-achievement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/131911\/","title":{"rendered":"Three counties, three All-Ireland titles \u2013 Tipperary school celebrates unique sporting achievement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Col\u00e1iste Phobal Ros Cr\u00e9 proudly hosted a unique celebration honouring past pupils who have achieved All-Ireland success across three counties at three championship levels.<\/p>\n<p>A momentous occasion for the school and wider community.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tipperarylive.ie\/news\/home\/1939586\/tipperary-volunteers-and-branch-shortlisted-for-irish-red-cross-national-awards.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">READ MORE:\u00a0Tipperary volunteers and branch shortlisted for Irish Red Cross national awards<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The event welcomed distinguished guests from the Offaly Intermediate Camogie team, including Captain Orlagh Phelan, Mair\u00e9ad Teehan, Ciara Maher and Emer Reynolds.<\/p>\n<p>Also celebrated were F\u00edona Scully, a proud All-Ireland winner with the successful Laois Premier Junior Camogie team.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow past pupil Joe Fogarty, a member of the Tipperary senior hurling panel, was likewise acknowledged for his outstanding sporting achievements.<\/p>\n<p>Camogie mentor Ms O\u2019Gorman and hurling mentor Mr Smyth spoke with pride about the visiting athletes, reflecting on their dedication, leadership, and commitment during their time at Col\u00e1iste Phobal Ros Cr\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>They praised the players for continuing to represent their school and counties with distinction and integrity.<\/p>\n<p>Although unable to attend, Christine Cleary and Sharon Shanahan were also recognised for her contribution to Offaly\u2019s championship victory and Alan Tynan to the Tipperary Senior Hurling All Ireland success.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tipperarylive.ie\/news\/home\/1939319\/tipperary-humanitarian-activist-honour-president-higgins-for-support-of-chernobyl-charity.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">READ MORE:\u00a0Tipperary humanitarian activist honours President Higgins for support of Chernobyl charity<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the event, Deputy Principal Ms Ciara Ormond expressed admiration for the athletes and the inspiration they offer to current students: \u201cTo have 9 past pupils win All-Ireland medals, in the same sporting year, from three counties associated with our school is something truly special. Their achievements inspire our students to pursue excellence both on and off the field. It is no surprise to us here in the Col\u00e1iste to see these students succeed, they were very active members of our school community, and we are very fortunate they each left an indelible mark and legacy with us.
