\n\tNicole Kidman<\/a> has joined the cast of \u201cThe Young People,\u201d the latest feature film from prolific and fast-rising horror hitmaker Osgood Perkins<\/a> (\u201cLonglegs,\u201d \u201cThe Monkey\u201d) and his fourth with Neon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tKidman adds some Oscar-winning prestige to an already buzzy cast, which is being led by Lola Tung (\u201cThe Summer I Turned Pretty\u201d) and Nico Parker (\u201cHow to Train Your Dragon\u201d) alongside an ensemble including Brendan Hines (\u201cThe Tick\u201d), Cush Jumbo (\u201cThe Good Wife\u201d), Heather Graham (\u201cDrugstore Cowboy\u201d), Johnny Knoxville (\u201cJackass\u201d), Lexi Minetree (\u201cElle\u201d), Lily Collias (\u201cGood One\u201d) and Tatiana Maslany (\u201cOrphan Black\u201d). <\/p>\n

\n\tNeon will release \u201cThe Young People\u201d theatrically in the U.S. and is representing the international sales rights on the film, as well as co-financing with Lyrical Media. Producers include Perkins and his partner Chris Ferguson for their production company Phobos and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones for Range. Plot details are currently under wraps.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Young People\u201d marks the first project out of a first-look deal Neon signed earlier this year with Perkins and Phobos. It\u2019s their latest collaboration following the success of \u201cLonglegs,\u201d which was 2024\u2019s highest-grossing independent film with $75 million domestically, and \u201cThe Monkey,\u201d which gave Neon it\u2019s second-biggest opening weekend. Neon will release Perkins\u2019 next film,\u00a0\u201cKeeper,\u201d on Nov. 14.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tKidman \u2014\u00a0\u00a0who has \u201cScarpetta\u201d for Prime Video and \u201cMargo\u2019s Got Money Trouble\u201d for Apple TV+ coming up \u2014 is no stranger to the genre world, but is perhaps best known in horror circles for the 2001 smash hit \u201cThe Others.\u201d The film, in which she played a mother battling supernatural forces in an old English manor along with her her two children, is widely regarded as one of the best horror titles of all time, amassing more than $210 million globally at the box office and earned Kidman both BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations.<\/p>\n
