{"id":133332,"date":"2025-11-11T03:50:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T03:50:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/133332\/"},"modified":"2025-11-11T03:50:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T03:50:08","slug":"read-sasha-sudas-suit-against-the-philadelphia-art-museum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/133332\/","title":{"rendered":"Read Sasha Suda&#8217;s suit against the Philadelphia Art Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">Sasha Suda, the <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/arts\/sasha-suda-philadelphia-museum-of-art-20251104.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/arts\/sasha-suda-philadelphia-museum-of-art-20251104.html\">former director and CEO<\/a> of the <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/topic\/philadelphia-art-museum\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Philadelphia Art Museum<\/a>, <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/arts\/philadelphia-art-museum-sasha-suda-lawsuit-20251110.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/arts\/philadelphia-art-museum-sasha-suda-lawsuit-20251110.html\">sued her former employer Monday<\/a> in Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">The 30-page lawsuit outlines her tensions with board members over how much authority she had to act on certain issues without their approval, and <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/arts\/philadelphia-art-museum-sasha-suda-dismissal-legal-investigation-20251110.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/arts\/philadelphia-art-museum-sasha-suda-dismissal-legal-investigation-20251110.html\">provides details into her dismissal<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">The <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/topic\/philadelphia-art-museum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Philadelphia Art Museum<\/a> dismissed Suda for cause after commissioning an independent investigation, according to Art Museum leaders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">According to the suit, Suda was \u201cterminated when her efforts to modernize the museum clashed with a small, corrupt, and unethical faction of the board intent on preserving the status quo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">Suda, who was in her third year of a five-year contract, is suing for two years of pay, as well as \u201csignificant damages for the museum\u2019s repeated and malicious violations of the non-disparagement and confidentiality clauses in her employment agreement, and an injunction enforcing the confidentiality and non-disparagement terms of her agreement,\u201d according to her lawyer, Luke Nikas of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart &amp;
