Before Garda\u00ed could take a closer look at his vehicle, he sped off and was involved in a collision with a bollard in a residential area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"corklive\">The vehicle became stuck and its side door was badly dented &#8211; the driver was quickly apprehended. He was arrested and is due to appear before the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.corkbeo.ie\/all-about\/courts\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"courtLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">court<\/a> on Friday morning, 14th November. Garda\u00ed also seized cocaine with an estimated street value of \u20ac3,500.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/580649015_122216590886275599_2992913591945512409_n.jpg\" alt=\"The scene of the collision\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>The scene of the collision<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"corklive\">Following this incident, further searches were carried out at a domestic residence in Rathkeale the following day, leading to the seizure of suspected cocaine to the estimated street value of \u20ac56,000, a shotgun cartridge and a number of other items.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"corklive\">In total, suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of \u20ac59,500 was seized during the operation.
