With Swansea being in relegation trouble when he first came into the role, Sheehan would eventually lead them an 11th placed finish in the Championship.

The club would experience a promising start to the 2025/26, although results had deteriorated in recent weeks. Saturday’s 4-1 loss at home to Ipswich Town meant they had won just one of their last eight games in all competitions.

Reports of Sheehan’s exit would emerge earlier this morning, with Swansea City confirming the news a few hours later.

Swansea City can confirm the club has parted ways with head coach Alan Sheehan.

👉 https://t.co/BAeyTU3qK2 pic.twitter.com/Q7ZnWqCJBO

— Swansea City AFC (@SwansOfficial) November 11, 2025

READ ALSO: The Patched Together Ireland Team We Want To See Start Against Portugal

READ ALSO: Ex Ireland Star Baffled To See James McClean Overlooked In Favour Of Unknown Defender

Swansea City Fans Shared Same Sentiment Over Club’s Sacking Of Irish Manager

Alan Sheehan first became associated with Swansea City in June of 2023, joining as an assistant coach under Michael Duff.
