EastEnders spoilers follow for Wednesday\u2019s episode (12 November), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn\u2019t yet aired on TV.<\/p>\n

EastEnders has aired a devastating update about Teddy Mitchell\u2019s fate, after he confessed to a crime he didn\u2019t commit. This week, Kojo was threatened by Okie<\/a> with a knife in his flat. Harry came to his friend\u2019s defence and ended up in a fight, where he accidentally fatally stabbed Okie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Harry decided to hand himself in, but Teddy stepped in and took the fall for his son<\/a>, putting his fingerprints on the weapon and getting arrested for Okie\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

Teddy was interviewed by the police in today\u2019s episode<\/a>, and he crafted a false story about what happened to Okie.<\/p>\n

He explained that he went round to help Harry but instead found Okie waiting with a knife. Teddy then told the story of Harry and Okie\u2019s fight but took the place of his son when recalling events.<\/p>\n

Nicola, Harry and Barney returned to Walford after being interviewed themselves, but Barney was inconsolable after discovering that his dad was going to prison.<\/p>\n

As morning broke in the Square, Billy was determined to get justice for his brother and called on Phil \u2013 who agreed to get Ritchie on board to help Teddy.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, George told Kojo about Okie\u2019s death and Teddy\u2019s arrest, and Kojo blamed himself for this devastating chain of events.<\/p>\n

Nicola found distraught Harry at the garage and explained that Teddy took the fall because they feared that his drug addiction would worsen significantly if he went to prison.<\/p>\n

She urged her son not to feel guilty about Teddy\u2019s imprisonment and made it clear that he is pleading self-defence and so would be home very soon.<\/p>\n

Barney was also struggling to come to terms with what had happened, and in an emotional scene, Nicola gave him the watch that Teddy had planned to pass down to him on his 18th birthday.<\/p>\n

Ritchie arrived at the station to see Teddy and broke the news that the police have spoken to the CPS and things didn\u2019t look good for him.<\/p>\n

Teddy later phoned Nicola and told her that he was going to be charged with murder. Nicola dropped the phone and broke down in tears, as she realised that her ex-partner wouldn\u2019t be coming home.<\/p>\n
