No injuries – Garda\u00ed waiting on crane to remove vehicle<\/p>\n

Emergency services rushed to the scene of a collision in Cork city<\/a> this morning after a lorry loaded with steel overturned onto a footpath. Luckily, there were no pedestrians on it at the time and the driver of the vehicle was helped from it, shaken but unhurt.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred shortly after 9am, when the truck was rounding the bend from Eglinton Street to Albert Street and was involved in a single-vehicle collision.<\/p>\n

The lorry toppled onto an empty footpath outside a store. The driver, a man, was uninjured – Garda\u00ed<\/a>, firefighters and members of the national ambulance service were on the scene within minutes.<\/p>\n

Officers have cordoned off a part of the footpath and a section of Albert Street. The motorist was assessed by members of the National Ambulance Service as a precaution.<\/p>\n

Firefighters have left the scene, and Cork City Fire Brigade<\/a> Second Officer Victor Shine told Cork Beo Garda\u00ed are waiting on a crane to remove the vehicle from the road.<\/p>\n

Albert Street is currently reduced to one lane.<\/p>\n

He said: “It was a single vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 9am today. The truck was loaded with steel and overturned while taking the bend – thankfully, no injuries were reported. The driver was assessed by members of the National Ambulance Service.<\/p>\n

“They are now waiting on a crane to remove the vehicle.”<\/p>\n

A Garda spokesperson told Cork Beo: “Garda\u00ed are currently attending a traffic collision that occurred in Cork City this morning, 13th of November 2025. At approximately 9:20am a truck overturned on Eglinton Street. The road is currently reduced to one lane with traffic management in place.<\/p>\n

“No injuries have been reported.
