An urgent recall has been issued for several batches of a popular brownie product over fears it could contain “mould growth and spoilage”.<\/p>\n

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland<\/a> (FSAI) is urging consumers not to eat the affected product.<\/p>\n

The recall applies to specific batches of Booja-Booja Chocolate Wonders Fudgie Brownie Organic. It is sold in several stores across Ireland, including Holland and Barrett where it is priced \u20ac3.49.<\/p>\n

In a statement <\/a>today, the FSAI said: “The below batches of Booja-Booja Chocolate Wonders Fudgie Brownie Organic are being recalled<\/a> due to possible mould growth and spoilage. Recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale.<\/p>\n

“Retailers are requested to remove the implicated batches from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale. Wholesalers\/distributors are requested to contact their affected customers and recall the implicated batches and provide a point-of-sale recall notice to their retailer customers.<\/p>\n

“Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches.”<\/p>\n
