Lady Gaga revealed just how bad her \u201cDisease\u201d got during the late 2010s. The singer was \u201con lithium\u201d while filming the 2018 movie A Star Is Born, she told Rolling Stone<\/a> in her November 13 cover story. Then, during the Joanne World Tour, which immediately followed production of that film, she says she had a psychotic break. \u201cThere was one day that my sister said to me, \u2018I don\u2019t see my sister anymore,\u2019\u201d Gaga said. \u201cAnd I canceled the tour.\u201d\u00a0In September 2017, Gaga postponed multiple performances in Europe<\/a> and later canceled the last ten stops of the tour after being hospitalized, citing pain due to fibromyalgia. She didn\u2019t go into much detail then, but she did say, \u201cAs I get stronger and when I feel ready, I will tell my story in more depth, and plan to take this on strongly so I can not only raise awareness, but expand research for others who suffer as I do, so I can help make a difference.\u201d<\/p>\n Now, she\u2019s ready to share what happened. \u201cThere was one day I went to the hospital for psychiatric care,\u201d she told RS. \u201cI needed to take a break. I couldn\u2019t do anything \u2026 I completely crashed. It was really scary.\u201d Gaga added that she wasn\u2019t sure if she would ever be back to her current self. \u201cThere was a time where I didn\u2019t think I could get better,\u201d she said. \u201cI feel really lucky to be alive. I know that might sound dramatic, but we know how this can go.\u201d With her fianc\u00e9 Michael Polansky by her side, Gaga feels better than ever, calling herself a \u201chealthy, whole person.\u201d Ironically, even though she\u2019s currently on the Mayhem Tour<\/a>, the chaos has subsided.<\/p>\n Related<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Doing better.
