Three Kerry businesses are making a little extra room on their mantelpiece this week after they took home top honours at the recent Good Food Ireland Awards 2025, an event that celebrates businesses right across the food, drink, and hospitality sectors.<\/p>\n
Announced at the awards ceremony at The K Club in Kildare last week, Kerry businesses took centre stage winning some of the top accolades of the night.<\/p>\n
The Kerry winners on the night were: <\/p>\n
The Bianconi Inn in Killorglin was named Pub Restaurant of the Year.The Great Southern Killarney in Killarney town was named as 4 Star Hotel of the Year.Ard na Sidhe Country House in Killorglin was awarded the Food Lovers Choice Award – Wild Atlantic Way.<\/p>\n
Owner of the Bianconi Inn, Hazel Boyle, said the win came as a real surprise.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe honestly didn\u2019t expect to hear our name called, especially given the other brilliant finalists in the category\u201d Hazel said. \u201cIt means a lot to us as it\u2019s a reflection of the people behind The Bianconi, our fantastic team, our customers who\u2019ve supported us for years, and the great food tradition that\u2019s part of Kerry and Killorglin. We just try to do things the right way: good food, local ingredients, and a warm welcome.<\/p>\n
\u201dHead Chef Lukasz Wacnik who attended the awards, added: \u201cIt was a lovely shock to win. There\u2019s so much great food across Ireland now, and to be recognised among them is really special. We\u2019re lucky in Kerry that there\u2019s incredible produce all around us, and a real pride in local food. This award is for everyone who works hard in the kitchen and front of house every day.\u201d<\/p>\n
