On Thursday, Nov. 13, the pair, who tied the knot in August 2023, celebrated the upcoming arrival of their bundle of joy at the Cosette Wine Bar + Bottleshop at their baby shower, surrounded by their family, friends and fellow Dancing with the Stars alum<\/a>. The event, which could only be described as “ethereal” and “dreamy,” was organized by aunt Julianne Hough<\/a>, Dancing with the Stars alum Britt Stewart, and Jessica Gee with the help of event planner Troy Williams of Simply Troy<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Hayley and Derek are such a beautiful match. They are the perfect combination of creativity and strength and they give so much love to each other and the people in their lives,” Julianne tells PEOPLE. “Britt, Jess and I knew we needed to throw them the most beautiful shower to honor them and their greatest creation yet.\u201d<\/p>\n Jon Snip<\/a><\/p>\n Derek and Hayley Hough with Julianne Hough<\/p>\n Julianne also shares her excitement to become an aunt again to Derek, 40, and Hayley’s, 31, new addition, calling it one of her “favorite roles.”<\/p>\n \u201cMy sisters all have kids, and being an aunt is one of my favorite roles. I became an aunt for the first time at eleven years old, so this time around it\u2019ll be such a treat as an adult,” she says. “Having Derek, Hayley and this new little angel living here in [Los Angeles] will be so amazing, and I couldn\u2019t be more excited to spoil the baby rotten!\u201d<\/p>\n Both Hayley and Derek were all smiles as they enjoyed the festivities. Hayley wore a bright yellow Tularosa dress with her hair styled by Jill Buck in loose curls and a natural makeup look by Afton Williams. Both Buck and Williams work with the Dancing with the Stars crew in the hair and makeup team.<\/p>\n Several members of the Dancing with the Stars family showed up for Hayley and Derek’s special day, including Sasha Farber, Mark Ballas, his wife BC Jean, Stewart’s husband Daniel Durant and co-host Alfonso Ribeiro\u2019s wife Angela.<\/p>\n Jon Snip<\/a><\/p>\n Derek and Hayley Hough with their fellow Dancing with the Stars alums<\/p>\n The guests participated in multiple activities throughout the shower, including expressing their intentions for the baby with an Intentional Baby Succulent Garden by Rolling Greens, connecting with kittens from Kitten Rescue LA in a designated petting space, writing sweet messages on diapers for the baby and playing fun games.<\/p>\n In addition, personal notes to the expectant mother and baby on the way were given to Andrea Fowler of The Calligraphy Nerd, who rewrote them into a limited edition keepsake book of Grimm\u2019s Fairy Tales\u00a0as a memento for the family.
